Server IP Whitelisting for IPTV Restream Access

Paid IPTV Restream plans authorize your streaming server by public IP. This guide explains what that means, how trial access differs, and what to do when your IP changes.

Whitelisting is an access-control measure that limits paid restream pulls to authorized public IPs. It is not an absolute security guarantee against every threat, misconfiguration, or unauthorized reuse of credentials.

What Server IP Whitelisting Means

When your server public IP is whitelisted, the restream service is configured to accept stream requests from that address for your paid plan. Requests from IPs that are not authorized for your account are expected to fail.

You provide the public IP that your restream server uses for outbound connections to the restream endpoint. Support configures the whitelist after payment confirmation.

Why Paid Access Requires It

Connection plans are sold as capacity for a defined server environment. IP whitelisting helps keep paid access tied to the equipment you operate, reduces casual credential sharing across unrelated networks, and gives support a clear reference when diagnosing access problems.

Review plan options on the pricing page. Activation occurs after payment confirmation and IP setup—not before.

Public IP vs Private IP

Public IP

A public IP is the address visible on the public internet. Restream whitelisting uses this address because the restream endpoint sees the public source of your server’s requests.

Private IP

Private addresses (for example, 10.x, 192.168.x, or 172.16–31.x ranges) identify machines inside a local network. They are not suitable as the sole whitelist value for internet-facing restream authorization.

Single server

Whitelist the public IP of the host that pulls the upstream restream playlist.

Load balancer / NAT

Whitelist the public egress IP that outbound restream traffic actually uses—not an internal backend address.

When Your Public IP Changes

Dynamic hosting, VPS migrations, and ISP renumbering can change your public IP. If paid access stops working after an infrastructure change, contact WhatsApp support with:

  • Your account or order reference (as previously shared with support)
  • The previous public IP (if known)
  • The new public IP that should be authorized
  • A short note about what changed (new VPS, provider move, etc.)

Do not attempt to bypass access controls. Unauthorized access or sharing credentials outside your authorized server environment is not supported.

Common Access Troubleshooting

  • Confirm you are testing from the whitelisted public IP, not a local workstation VPN exit.
  • Verify playlist details were entered correctly in your server software.
  • Check whether you exceeded your simultaneous connection plan.
  • After an IP change, request a whitelist update before assuming the playlist failed.
  • Retest a specific channel and report its ID if playback fails after access is confirmed.

How to Contact Support

WhatsApp is the primary support channel. Support hours: 12:00 PM–12:00 AM (GMT/BST) (Europe/London — GMT/BST). Open the contact page or message WhatsApp directly for whitelist updates and access questions.
